Creativity has always been a huge part of who I am. Growing up in Derbyshire, I was forever making things, and the running joke in our family home was that you always knew when I was awake past bedtime because you could hear the sellotape machine going. Whether I was making shoes out of paper and wood or sticking drawings to the walls, I just loved creating things from nothing.

Art was also a huge part of my life throughout school, and I studied it all the way through to A-level.

That love of crafting and art never left me, it’s simply grown with me over the years. What started as childhood making turned into a real passion for thoughtful design, beautiful products, and creating things that bring personality and joy into people’s homes.

In 2017, I moved to Yorkshire for University and found even more inspiration in the beauty of North Yorkshire, especially the Yorkshire coast. Over time, that inspiration, alongside my lifelong love of making, became the foundation for Daisy Lydia Designs.

I recently decided to take the leap into becoming a full-time artist, creating a varied range of products inspired by the things, and places, I love most. Everything is designed, made and printed in my home studio in York, where I live with my partner Russ and our beloved cat, Penny.
